Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to request deletion of personal data collected through First Chevron, including data from connected Instagram accounts.
How to Request Data Deletion
You have three options:
- Disconnect inside Instagram. Open Instagram → Settings → Apps and Websites, find First Chevron, and tap Remove. Instagram will notify First Chevron via the platform’s deauthorization webhook. We will immediately revoke the access token, mark the account as removed, and queue full deletion within 30 days.
- Request through the Instagram data-deletion flow. If you submit a data deletion request via Instagram, Meta will hit our webhook automatically. We process the request, return a confirmation code, and surface a public status page at
https://app.firstchevron.com/oauth/data-deletion/status?code=...so you can verify the deletion has been processed. - Email request. Send a deletion request to hello@firstchevron.com with subject line “Data Deletion Request,” including your First Chevron account email and the Instagram username you wish to remove. We will confirm within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
Within 30 days of any of the above, First Chevron removes:
- Account credentials and dashboard profile information.
- OAuth tokens for the connected Instagram account.
- Instagram account identifiers (user IDs, usernames).
- Uploaded content (videos, images, captions) still in the queue.
- Publishing history and media IDs.
Financial records, where applicable, may be retained for up to 5 years per legal recordkeeping requirements.
Platform-Specific Deletion
Instagram & Facebook — Request deletion through First Chevron or revoke access via Instagram’s Settings → Apps and Websites. Revocation triggers our deauthorization webhook, which handles deletion automatically.
Confirmation
Deletion confirmation is sent via email. If you submitted the request via Meta’s data-deletion flow, you can also paste the confirmation code returned by Meta into our public status page to confirm processing. If no confirmation arrives within 35 days, contact hello@firstchevron.com.
